Once again our students are celebrating a fantastic set of examination results, incorporating traditional AS and A level successes as well as vocational and BTEC results. Indeed, the school’s record books are having to be rewritten!
Overall, the pass rate was 99.70% with over 64% of entries achieving top grades A or B. Success was experienced right across the board with 37 out of 38 subjects enjoying 100% pass rates. We were delighted with the achievements in newly introduced subjects such as BTEC Sport and BTEC Hospitality.

John Leigh, Headteacher is delighted with the results: “My warmest congratulations go to all our students who, with the stalwart support of their teachers and parents have worked extremely hard to gain results they should be justifiably proud of.
We remain an open entry sixth form, offering inclusive education for all with over 40 subjects available. Our teachers aim to provoke and challenge students, who thrive in a community which has, at its heart, the success and wellbeing of all, regardless of academic ability.
We are extremely proud of those students who have gained academic successes and who will go on to higher education confident in the knowledge that they have worked hard and achieved their personal best.
Equally, we wish students entering the employment market every success secure in the knowledge that all our students have the competence and skills necessary to make a real go of whatever route they decide to go down.
Congratulations!”
